If you buy either of the booklets discussed below, but end up scoring in the 60s on your exam after using it we will refund your cost.  All you need to do is fax us a copy of the failure notification you will receive at the testing center in the event you don’t pass.  The only catch is that you have to buy the book at least one week before you take the exam--and score in the 60s.

Series 7 Random Thoughts is a loose-leaf book that focuses on what is important to know for the exam—sort of a Cliff’s Notes concept, not everything by any means, mostly the “good stuff.”

It is currently 75 pages, but is constantly being updated to reflect late information regarding what is being asked on the exam.

A few months ago, a sales assistant e-mailed us to report that she had scored 84% on her first Series 7 attempt, and said, “Random Thoughts was the key, it’s like a Series 7 Bible.”

In another incident involving Random Thoughts, a fellow decided at the last minute to come to one of our sessions.  A friend had enrolled, and he “tagged along” since we were in his hometown.

He had not studied a thing—NOTHING.  He took lots of notes, and asked lots of questions.  The weekend following the session he read Random Thoughts and began doing sample questions.  He did sample tests for two weeks; then he took the test.  His attitude was simple, and direct.  He felt that if he could pass the exam by paying attention to us, and doing sample questions he would be pleased that he had not devoted a lot of time to reading textbooks—but if he failed he would read textbooks and pass on his second attempt.

On his way back to the office after the test he called to report that he had gotten a “perfect score.”  That did not mean he got 100%, it meant he got 70%.  But you know what?  He is a registered representative, and that’s all that matters.  Now, it’s not as simple as it seems, he does have an MBA from a top business school, and he has been an investment banker for a few years—but the fact remains that he had not studied anything before the class.

Can everybody do this?  Of course not—but if you have a business background and are a good test taker you might be able to.  In any case, owning a copy of Random Thoughts cannot be a bad idea.

Random Thoughts is only available as an Adobe Acrobat file (.pdf file) for $25.  Depending on the time of day (we're Eastern Time) we generally get it delivered to you via email within a matter of minutes after we are paid.   Please give us overnight in case our office is closed for some reason.
